If you are interested in getting a pet, adoption is a fantastic way to add to your family. Dr. Bennett is happy to consult with you on selecting the breed or type of pet that will best fit your lifestyle and environment and to help you with introducing your new pet to your home.
Montgomery County Animal Services is our local government-run animal control facility. They do an excellent job caring for homeless, abused, and neglected animals in Montgomery County. As part of the Department of Police, they also attend to the safety and welfare of our citizens by investigating complaints and responding to animal emergencies 24 hours a day.
If you have a particular breed or type of dog in mind, breed-specific rescues are always a good resource. Their members really understand the dogs they are adopting out and can help you make an educated decision regarding your future family member.
